As for thrifting, my mom’s favorite activity until recently, so she has a stash we shop when we visit! Nice scarf and such a unique blend of colors!

I am glad you were able to use that skein. It sat in my stash for so long because it was a small amount and I have not dared to try color work just yet. The fingerless mitts look nice.

BTW, not sure if it too much of a hike for you, but we have a new knit group that will be meeting on Mondays at Charlestown’s branch of the Boston Public Library. I will be upstairs in the Children’s section for 6-7:45 this Monday. We have about 6-8 people who have mentioned that they plan to come. You can follow our activity in Boston Yarn Party group on the Ravelry forums tab. I am going to make a FB page for it too.

Thanks for the invite! I had a rather important meeting on Tuesday morning that I had to prepare for Monday night, so that explains my absence, but maybe next time. :)
